Hi, I’m Chelsea. Wife to Daniel. Official #boymom. Daughter Redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Writing about it all for God’s glory.

Wife to Daniel.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Dan, for eight years now. He is God’s best gift to me this side of Heaven. I affectionately refer to him as my compass–always pointing me “due Christ.”

Official #boymom.

I am mama to three little boys (and a golden doodle). I have earned badges for cleaning a dozen cracked eggs out of the carpet, pulling popcorn kernels out of my toddler’s nose, and finding my diamond jewelry buried in our back yard. I daily rely on Diet Coke and God’s sustaining grace.

Daughter Redeemed.

I became a follower of Jesus at the age of three when dear Mr. Meissner shared the gospel with me after Sunday School. I didn’t have a deep understanding then, but I knew that Jesus loved me, that he died for my sins, and that he wanted me to be reunited with him. He became my Forever King then and there.

In high school, I did a Kay Arthur study on the names of God, and the name “Kinsman Redeemer” took hold of my heart. I resonated with the story of Ruth. In her, we see a tremendous example of simple, yet profound faith.  She deserted all that she knew and all that she was to follow the one true God, laying herself down at her Redeemer’s feet and surrendering herself to his care.

“Blessed be the LORD who has not left you this day without a redeemer!” the neighborhood women said to Naomi after Ruth gave birth. “He will be a restorer of life!” Little did they know that from this baby would come Jesus–the ultimate restorer of life! Just as Boaz redeemed Ruth, Christ chose and bought me at a great price so that he could call me his daughter. Through him, each of us is a Daughter Redeemed.

Life is hard. I’ve had my share of trials–anxiety, miscarriage, broken relationships, and health issues to name a few–but God is good, and the gospel is his power at work within me. His strength is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Writing About it All for God’s Glory.

I love to write about what God is teaching me about himself in marriage, motherhood, and life. I share God’s heart for women, and I hope that he will use this little blog to encourage your soul while you’re here.
